Sir Walter is one of the leading human geneticists in the world today who received a knighthood in 1986.

Walter Bodmer read Mathematics at the University of Cambridge where he also received his PhD in Biology. He joined Joshua Lederberg’s laboratory in the Department of Genetics at Stanford University where he was appointed to its faculty. Subsequently he became the first Professor of Genetics at Oxford University, UK. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Pathology and the Royal Society. He received the Ellison-Cliff Medal from the Royal Society of Medicine.

Sir Walter was one of the first to suggest the idea of the Human Genome Project.

Uwe D. Staerz is a co-founder of Greffex, Inc.  He received his Bachelor of Science and MD degrees from the Eberhard-Karls-Universitaet Tuebingen, Germany. Subsequently he earned his PhD degree in Molecular Biology from the University of California San Diego. He served on the faculties of the Basel Institute for Immunology, Switzerland, National Jewish Health, Denver, CO and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Uwe has extensively published in the areas of immune recognition and development, and has been a member of numerous scientific review committees of the NIH.
