Greffex: A multi-national regenerative medicine company for the 21st Century.
Founded in 1999, Greffex, Inc. is a Netherlands-based multinational regenerative medicine company advancing novel cell and gene-based therapies and stem cell initiatives for restoring function of damaged organs and tissues. To overcome the interference of the immune system in the success of organ and tissue replacement and gene therapy, the company created and patented the only fully deleted, helper-independent adenoviral vector that is fully able to mitigate the immune response risk inherent in early generation adenoviral vectors. Greffex has in fact created the final generation adenoviral vector.
Our innovation overcomes the limitations of efficiency, transgene capacity, inherent toxicity and production of previous viral vector technologies. Greffex’s patented technology, Engineered Veto©, enables the production of tissues able to evade immune rejection by utilizing our novel adenoviral architecture.
Finally, as part of our scientific development, we have created and patented a packaging cell exceeding the capabilities of existing cell lines with the added value of intellectual property protection.
